Malcolm Carroll is a Baptist minister, in membership at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, London. He works for Greenpeace, managing activist networks. His PhD examined organisational issues facing groups which organise peaceful direct action. He practises what he studied and has participated in over 50 direct actions. He believes what he does is proportionate, peaceful and accountable. The courts have disagreed with him on a few occasions. He divides his time between a boat in London and a cottage in mid-Wales, which he shares with his family and other poultry. Malcolm has used the NIVUK for these notes.
